  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

If the season ended today, both the Canucks and Rangers would be dusting off the golf clubs.

Hard to say the deal has materially improved the fortunes of either team. Although the Canucks did leverage the first rounder they acquired from New York to land Marcus Pettersson and O'Connor.

But as of today, Mancini has been in and out of the lineup, and Chytil is out indefinitely. And Miller is picking up points in the Big Apple, but it isn't really translating into a serious playoff push. They were a 'bubble team' when he arrived; and they're still a 'bubble team'.

Probably a trade we won't be able to really grade until next season or even beyond.

Miller and Petey at the same restaurant?

So...

Who's dropping the gloves with JT? These morning games always end up being a bit testy or outright snoozefests.

Hey JT, how you liking New York buddy? That's OK, you always have golf to fall back on.
Canucks only have a couple of guys, maybe Forbort, Joshua? Guys that absolutely will not are Boeser, Garland, his noted buddies, Sherwood, Hoglander might, maybe, not DeBrusk or Suter, maybe Blueger, not Myers unless Miller really womps Hughes or Pettersson.

Nobody of any significance or to be worried about.

Be interesting to see if there is any dialogue with Tocchet

I wonder if Tocchet will try push some of Millers buttons in the pre game interview.

This is a game the Canucks should win... and those have been the games we seem to have lost the most. This should be a telling game for how it is going to go down the stretch.

Wanted to add we also always seem to be bad at these early games. Ugh... don't like this already.
This is a must win for both teams and probably a little more so for the NYR.

Can someone please wake me at 9:59 a.m. (0959 military time) tomorrow morning.

Use this to figure out what time you should set your alarm to. It works 10 times better than you would think.

I don't know what the Canucks record is in dozy 10 a.m. starts in the East. Afraid to look it up, because it's probably so bad.

Two desperate teams barely clinging to playoff aspirations. As per most of these a.m. starts, Canucks will need to weather a siege in the first period.

They've been relying heavily on Lankinen all season long--the best bargain goalie in the NHL. And they'll have to ride him again.
