Actually I saw that in round one against Colorado. I thought it was a joke then (and I was rooting for the wild) and this one was even worse. Poor Price got some snow on him boohoohoo.

I said it before and I'll say it again, fix was in. The first two games of this series it was laughable. Hockey is a beautiful game but the NHL will always come up short against other leagues because they manipulate results for financial gain and that is a joke.

Your dreaming buddy , Montreal won fair and square ! Don't question the integrity of the game

If you don't know him, check JB out on "The Score." A former professional player who frequently writes insightful, thoughtful stuff, minus snark ala Puck Daddy.

Will do. I've definitely read his stuff before, know the name. Didn't realize he had played though. Looks like he had a brief stint in the A even, must have been pretty good.

Most of his comments are his opinion some I agree with some not. One of his main points I completely disagree with. This one:

"Mattered: Boston’s plan to score by committee failed

In the off-season the Bruins traded Tyler Seguin, who finished fourth in NHL scoring this year. It was not, at all, a trade that left them empty-handed, and it actually probably improved them depth-wise (Loui Eriksson and Reilly Smith can be valuable contributors, and Matt Fraser dressed four times in playoffs). Problem is, they didn’t need depth. They needed a Seguin. If this really was a year they were “going for it†(it was), they put a lot of pressure on the team to “score by committee†and the committee failed"

Problem is regular season scoring does not translate into the playoffs, ask Marsh, DK and Seguin himself,, 37 goals and then 1 in 6 games, just 7 over his 48 playoff games. So no Mr Bourne they needed the regular season Seguin but we could of used a regular season DK and Marchand on that point.

Hell baby
Mr. Bourne seems like he doesn't have the capability of using logic.

Yeah, we needed a Seguin. Yet another top 6 forward who couldn't score when we needed him to. Precisely.

Questioning the integrity of at least one officiating crew is fair game to anyone who watched games 2 & 7. Ex hockey executive Shawn Simpson commented that it seemed personal for Dave Jackson last night, that he had some kind of issue with Boston, the calls were Mickey Mouse and Boston only got PP's when behind by 2 goals, reminded of the good old 1970's refeering. By the way, Jackson is a born and bread Montreal boy.

The refs were terrible in game 7.
It's not the reason we lost the game. It's not the reason we lost the series.
Montreal didn't take anything away from us that we didn't give to them.
We gave them space and opportunities and they made them count.
They gave us many, many opportunities and we squandered them. That was the difference.
The 2 most important games of the series and this team just rolled over.

Absolutely hits it on the head.

Uh, this is factually incorrect, and it isn't even close. We aren't talking about opinions here. The NHL rules were not followed. Bruins still deserve the loss, though.

Didn’t matter: The refs

I feel like Skyler in Breaking Bad: shut up Shut UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. The referees did a nice job in the Bruins/Habs series, especially considering the scrutiny they were under.

No one is saying the refs were perfect. He's saying the refs were inconsequential to the outcome of the series (that's how I read it at least), and I (and it appears you) agree with him.

They weren't perfect, and you can quibble with his line of "did a nice job", but they weren't the storyline or anywhere near it.

I refuse to blame the refs after last night. They couldn't score; end of story.

We couldn't score, but we were 1 for 2 on our PP's and had scored 2 PP goals in the previous home game. If we had the benefit of 3 more PP opportunities like Montreal had their is a decent chance we pot one to tie it up. Even the heavily biased CBC here in Canada which is pro Habs showed a half dozen Montreal infractions in the 1st period alone with nary a call. Does anybody think for a second that if the roles were reversed and Boston was playing in Montreal with a lead that they would get those calls that Montreal did, not a chance in hell and everybody damn well knows that.

I don't blame the refs last night for the Bruins loss, I DO blame them for a horribly officiated game all together. They played about as well as the Bruins if not worse in my opinion.

Habs fan believed in the Campbell conspiracy 2-3 years back...that's no better than thinking there is a Montreal referees conspiracy.

You can argue all you want the refs made mistakes in their call and that may be true...but please put away the conspiracies.

And anyway, what did the bruins do with their 3 PP? Nothing...

For what it's worth I can't imagine a more boring series than Montreal Vs the Rangers. At games end they will each have like 15 shots on goal, and have played like six periods of overtime. Price and Lundquist should just takes shots on each other... I hope they both lose.

If you rely on your Power Play to bail you out, you don't deserve to win.

Just ask Washington.

1 goal in two games.

Seven turnovers in the first period.

Looch zero shots last night.

Krejci zero shots last night.

Krejci and Marchand 0 fer the playoffs.

Yeah, it was the refs.

Refs were pretty brutal I thought, particularly last night ... But they were in no way responsible for the Bruins losing this series. That distinction falls right on the players themselves. No excuses.
