GDT: [GM67] Vancouver Canucks vs Utah HC | Sun, Mar. 16th | 5pm | SNP | These Games Are Too Meaningful!

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

“ they haven’t got a fortunate, bounce like that one”

We literally scored from a long range shot off the hand of sergachev🤷‍♂️

Just don't get all the dicking around with the puck on the PP, just get Petey in his one timer spot and let it rip.
I just don't think teams respect their PP at all. They're constantly pushed to the fringes right from the drop of the puck. Their PP isn't commanding and they aren't able to close in on the PK'ers. Instead most of the PP is our players desperately ringing the puck around the boards just trying to keep possession, nevermind actually trying to score.

Professional hockey players are totally capable of playing hockey 2 days in a row. I can't believe how many people get their panties in a bunch over this. Calling then guaranteed loses and such. Hilariously out of touch.
The data is a .050 less winning pctg and you can bet a lot of the wins are "good road games" which are abysmal for paying fans

If the Canucks lose this one, their playoff odds are about about 30 percent. But they've been dominated in this game so far. No real way to sugar-coat it.

I actually think this Utah team will make it. Their overall team speed and playmakers up front will probably be enough to get them there. I think of all the teams scrambling for the final wildcard--they're team that looks the strongest.

The Canucks started the game defending the tie, now it's Utah's turn to defend a lead.

I don’t know why he elects to shoot so high all the time. Coaches should tell him to keep the puck low and just shoot for a rebound at this point. Him missing the net is creating loss of momentum, puck possession and sometimes the puck comes right back towards our end
I like when he touches the puck we end up losing the momentum we just fought to get.

At the season end, Allvin and his scouting staff need to keep this game on a video loop. It really underscores a lot of what's lacking with team.....more size, more grit and particularly a lot more speed up front.

And it's now down to an off-season project.
