Without Hughes there isn't enough team skill. Petterson is in a funk. Chytil is about it. Even if Petterson was good it's only 2 skill players with Hughes out, the rest are effort players.

Management are going to need to address this at point in the offseason and try to add another creative forward.

But honestly, we need to trade him eventually here because willander is taking that spot

Willander could player with mp or Hughes and free up Hronek or Myers to play with ep2. Now matter how you cut it he gets squeezed but only if Willander makes it, Willander for a year in the ahl.

Playing both sides is handy but a $3m spare d on a team with weak forwards might be a luxury they can't afford.
