I'm not so much saying that I disagree with Hoglander's treatment, but moreso highlighting how bizarre it is to castigate one player for mistakes and then allow another one to make error after error after error with no consequence. I should have been a bit more clear. I feel like all coaches do this to an extent (holding certain players to a standard, and allowing their pet projects to get away with murdering their own team)

I think Hoglander’s treatment is totally fine.

It’s the bizarre Juulsen obsession that’s the issue. They simply can’t seem to grasp that he’s a bad defensive player.

It also might be that Tocchet is handling the forwards and Foote the D.
