The top line can be summed up by a simple play. Pettersson dumps the puck in with a hard around and both Brock and Debrusk leisurely skate in and let the defence on the wings retrieve and have an easy clear…

Now I agree and wish Pettersson would try and make something happen more… but this is the obvious game plan, so can we please put Sherwood back with Petey…. I don’t care who comes off that line but come on.

Also after all we heard about keeping d pairs on their sides, to keep Juulsen in and having him paired with a second RHD… it’s painful.

This is correct imo, and not new or an excuse. Petey needs wingers that can push play (including physically) and score. Boeser is a great complimentary scorer but he does not drive play. DeBrusk has his moments and is has top6 skill, but he's not proving to be the fit we thought he could be. Keep one of them on the wing and supplement with more energy and grit until a better solution is found. Not a great situation, but it is what it is.
