What does a trade get you though?

The Canucks are in win now mode with Quinn, they can’t afford to rebuild. I can’t see any trade where the Canucks are getting a player that is close to Petey’s potential right now. They have to gamble and hope that Petey finds his game unless there is some crazy trade on the table (think like the Panthers getting Tkachuk for Huberdeau)

yeah as much as pettersson has been disappointing the canucks need 4 centers. who is even available if you ship out pettersson? don't say cozens or mittelstadt. team isn't winning anything with them on the top line

dumping the puck in is not a bad idea if you can get it back and maintain possession, which every line has the ability to do except for debrusk/petey/boeser and also why they need to be split up
