I wanted effort and not blowing a multi goal 3rd period league. So I didn’t get what I wanted.

Learn? lol. You think I spent that time trying to learn anything? Because a voulenteer (can’t ban me for that as it’s factual) moderator had his feelings hurt by my words criticizing a team we both follow when they play bad?

I will not cater to people’s inability to hear words they may not agree with and not react.

an extra 5 minutes of PP time and a Penalty shot that was a soft cross check was sure a nice little bonus for Detroit today.

It's so weird i actually commended the refs for the Zadorov call given the context then they just go and turn it into a 3 ring circus of game management and bad decisions

5v5 we had the better of them just couldn't get a bounce or a little more precision when getting the looks

Any time you take a 3-1 lead after two periods, and end up an OT loser, it has to be considered a 'disappointment'.

But they just took too many penalties, and spent a lot of the night on the PK. But the worst was a careless tripping call on Hoglander early in the third. You could see from Tocchet's demeanor on the bench that he didn't like it all.

Predictably, the Canucks couldn't kill it off, and the Wings were back in it. And the Canucks PP let them down again. A lot of zone time and shots directed at the net, but nothing to show for it.

And as good as Pettersson was in regulation time, I'm not sure what he was doing in OT. Chasing the puck behind the and then getting caught Turnover led directly to the penalty shot winner by the Wings.

So it's on to Washington....who are on the ice playing Boston. So hopefully the Canucks get a tired team.

Who cares? f*** the oilers. One line garbage team with no depth. As soon as they play a team with a checking line 97/29 stain their undies.

They said , we are also not built for playoffs. Get outworked 80% of gsmes.

Thinking this team has been outworked in 80% of games this year might be the single worst hockey take I've ever seen.

Like, you could take some uncontacted tribesman from South America and put him in front of the TV to watch the games and he'd have a better understanding of what he's seeing.

Meh. I don't think there was much wrong with that game outside of a couple bad individual plays and some really horrid officiating.

That game-management call on Hoglander to start the 3rd was absolutely atrocious and totally changed the game and the outcome. And it wasn't like Detroit had been short on PP time before that, even.

I'm sure glad this team isn't comprised of the mindset of a majority of posters here who would fold like a cheap lawn chair the moment they face any adversity.

Right? Have we even lost three games this whole season? If Edmonton can climb out of the disaster they dug themselves in. We'll be fine with a string of bad games. This wasn't even bad save for some boneheaded Myers plays. Just didn't get the bounces we deserved and some very soft officiating.
