PP1 has been shiat since OV's return. If he was a rookie he would be ban-hammered back to ECHL. I miss young OV

Not really a dig at Dowd either. He’s a great 4C. But he shouldn’t be out there in OT. Idc if he’s right handed, he’s their worst FO% guy and the last center you want out there offensively in 3v3. It makes zero sense.

Maybe a good humbled game today not getting the xtra point. It also slows down our win rate a bit. I really don't want that damn President's Trophy! Those trophy's are a curse in trying to win the Cup!

Which makes zero sense considering Strome, Dubois, and Eller all have a better FO % than him.

Disappointing game, thought we were careless and sloppy and that led to th Ottawa chances. I mean not only 2 shorties but two penalty shots in a game? That’s just bad hockey. Then in overtime we have all three guys on the board and let them make the pass?? Come on. At least Ovie scored and McM got back in the goal column

That was a terrible game in a lot of ways, but if the first line is going to wake up offensively then all is forgiven.

Strome in particular. This past month has to be his worst stretch since coming to DC? Say what you will about him - he certainly has some limitations. But, he’s normally pretty engaged and not just coasting.
Seeing him get the tying goal in the 3rd reminded me of the guy we’ve had for a few years. Coming through w big, timely goals. Hopefully this gets him going…

In other news, Chucky, despite the 4-spot, played very well. Grade-A chances against galore and he made key saves.
Horrible to give up two SHG on the same PP, but it shows some character coming back from that. The positive thing is that Strome got 2 goals, McM 1G+1A and Ovi 1G+1A. Those 3 have been the three players struggling the most so hopefully they get some confidence and start playing like they did before Ovi was out.
I also find it weird our 3rd line is still listed as the 3rd line. Eller 8:45, Raddysh 7:07 and Frank 7:32 while the "fourth line" had Dowd 15:46, Duhaime 13:03 and Mangiapane 13:25.
