Destination snowboarders isn’t really a thing. It’s struggling as a sport.

Only player that should be off-limits is Hughes.

Their best chance of keeping him is burning it down all around him. The core will forever be flawed if they keep Miller, Pettersson, or Boeser, or Demko.

They need to make a big gamble that they can build a new core around Hughes in a quick enough timeframe.

Can’t see him staying then, that’s a tougher ask than to turn this roster into a contender 2 years ago.

I also don’t see him going to NJ strangely. Don’t see him wanting to step on Luke’s toes as top D. Ottawa could be interesting since he’s close with Brady.

Just remember Winnipeg when you talk about blowing up the entire core. They got rid of Wheeler and Dubois, and now look at them.

They only have this offseason to do it. It's not likely to be happening. If the team fails again next year they are in the Calgary Tckachuk dilemma.

I think it's more likely than not that Demko will be in the AHL next season.

I feel terrible for him but you simply cannot keep dressing him.

His game was all about agility. He can no longer drop and contort his body to the levels he used to before. There's the physical limitations and there's also probably the mental aspect of being reluctant to go full lengths.
