• Very disappointed
• Did not like the practice they had before facing the Sabres

Quinn Hughes

• Don’t stop skating because you have a star with you
• Tried to do too much against the Sabres
• They talked about his performance after the game
• Has been unreal in dealing with everything that’s gone on this season
• Mentally strong

Conor Garland

• It was just a hold
• Nothing will deter him from going into the corners or the front of the net
• Leon Draisaitl is confused where the anger is coming from
• Canucks just need the 2 points

Inconsistency

• Bad body language has started; slamming gates, etc.
• Last game was the most disappointed he’s been in his 2 years
• Let the team know he was disappointed in them
• Doesn’t like their process or practice habits
• With a lead, they stop skating and the defencemen stop shooting
• It’s not one guy, it’s a collective
• Hughes doesn’t have that mental block

On one hand it could be an emotional game which will get the team invested.

On the other hand the team we saw vs Buffalo could easily show up again and get shelled even without McDavid on the other side.

At my lowest point in the season by far in terms of confidence in this team so yeah, I'm expecting the latter.
