Idk how they'd justify a difference, and two games each to avoid the rematch on Thursday seems too obvious..
Friedman was prepping people for disappointment saying Myers has been suspended one more time than McDavid so he may get more games. Which is bullshit because his suspensions were from 2012 and 2014, and McDavid was suspended in 2019 for a hit to the head and recently elbowed a guy to the head with no suspension.

A suspension automatically comes with the match penalty, the commissioner can overturn it but obviously won't in this case. The only question right now is the length.
I disagree that Myers doesn't deserve an extra game. Both were crosschecks in the face, but McDavid did it during play.
Until the day arrives when people line up for tickets to watch Tyler Myers play hockey, his suspension always figures to be more time than McDavid.
After all, NHL hockey is supposed to be about 'entertainment'. And the Chaos Giraffe may be 'entertaining' at times.......but it's mostly comical.
