CMM is a volume shooter, his game clicks when he can get a lot of rubber on net. Problem is he’s on a line with Ovi who needs to do the same.

I think they should keep him with PLD who is a pure playmaker instead.

He's gotta move his feet more and work to get to the hard areas again like earlier in the season. One thing I noticed last game during his 2nd intermission interview against Ottawa, his hair looked like it had just been blow dried. Not a drop of sweat. After 2 periods playing top 6 minutes in an NHL game, your hair shouldn't be as dry as the Sahara.

Unfortunately it's hard to get GAR numbers for a subset of the season since those are cumulative stats.

But over the last 20 he's even in xG share and goals. Not really much to discern with those numbers alone. However even with his hot start his overall year has been very average:

I think it's fair to say that when the 24-80-43 line was clicking early in the season most of that success could be attributed to PLD and Wilson, given what we know now.

I'm less concern about McMichael and more concerned about Strome TBH. He needs to pick it up if they are going to have a strong top 6.
