Overall better 3rd. CMM made a couple of nice plays and almost tipped one in. I still see the elevated poise and that game has slowed down for him visually and permanently. Keep.

This is just a lull. A lull where you are in 1st. Season is a grind. Rather have the lull now and peak April - June.

Feel like it’s important to remember this Sandin in the moments where he has gaffes. When he screws up it goes real bad, but he’s so often so good, and he crushed it on both sides of the ice on that last play.

LT is just out of his mind right now, whoever he passes the chain to should just decline and give it right back. But yeah, if you’re asking who the best skater on the Caps is right now, I would say Dubois with no hesitation. He’s just always making things happen, and stopping things for the opponent. At the moment I’m not even upset about his cap hit, feel like he’s earning it.

Give it to Ottowa, they played a tough game. Good on defense, quick on offense. This sort of felt like a playoff game to me.

LT is our star of the game, he's been unreal. Nice that Ovie got another one and a GWG to boot.

The Vezina is pretty much Helleybuck's to lose. As fantastic as LT has been I think Helleybuck is deserving of it (so far). But still a long way to go this season.

Talk about balanced mins from the D pairs. 5 of 6 played 20+ mins. TVR with 17n1/2 mins. Strome 86% on draws and PLD close to 56%!

Just finished watching, what a huge improvement that 3rd period was over the 2nd. It was like a completely different team out there. I know there are ups and downs in a game, but that switch got flipped hard!

And what can you say about Ovie? Simply sensational.

OV spends 60 minutes looking like an ECHLer, then does that. After all these years, I still don't have a handle on that Russian machine.

LT is starting to creep up on Helle!

I love LT and he’s been phenomenal, but this is an overstatement. Helle is probably closer to winning the Hart at this point than he is to losing the Vezina. He’s started the most games in the league, and has faced over 60 more shots than the second place goalie. With that he’s also still leading the league in GAA and save percentage, and has 6 shutouts. I think LT could creep into a nomination if he keeps it up this season and his workload increases a bit, but barring injury or an unprecedented collapse Helle pretty much is walking to another Vezina.

Huh, i thought this was great game for us to steal. Sens were good! They had push and speed, and they really wanted it. We kept along in that and pushed back for third round. For december to this date, this was most entertaining and ”fresh” game ive seen.

Dubois is a such a low key steal. The guy is absolute monster with breaking pressure on our own end, possession sweetheart. Not sure what the advanced stats say but he is doing the little things into perfection right now.
