Carbery has done a whole lot of things right but the change to our neutral zone structure to be so passive and have the D so far back is absolutely the wrong call. It's been killing our ability to generate sustained pressure and offense.

Also, when was the last time they had 30 shots in a game ...

I thought it was done on purpose because of the long OP and genuinely thought it was funny and on brand for us

Caps get some momentum going, start getting knocked around with some potentially missed penalties, and then right back to the kill. Not awesome

This is what it was like last year. The “hope we don’t get scored on” strategy. No forecheck because we have to retreat to the NZ so early and easily.
