I know it's only Jan 16, but this feels like a HUGE game for me. Not just for the standings, but if the team does not come out with a really good effort here then I don't think that bodes well for the rest of the season. If nothing else, I think Hughes and Sherwood will have great games.
It definitely feels like a pivotal game because of our recent slide and the fact that we're chasing a divisional opponent. A few losses against teams like L.A. and our season might be lost sooner than later (not that I think a dream turnaround is realistic, but hope reigns eternal for me 😭)
This is what's gonna happen to the team for the next two games if not more:

we're all mad about last night and nobody seems to remember that this is the boeser revenge game where someone needs to beat the snot out of tanner jeannot

Curb your enthusiasm boys.

I circled this game long ago and figured it would be a big game.

Let’s see what happens and go from there

Fair?

Fair?

You sound like Dimbo.

But jokes aside, yes, fair.

Like I said previously, even if the season turned out to be a total wash, I really wouldn't be too upset. My interest in hockey and hockey ops peaked when Commando Dimbo was hired (no causal correlation there, just an incredibly unfortunate coincidence), and the Reign of Error irreparably damaged my capacity to enjoy the sport. I now view hockey, as I do in real life, with quite a bit of cynicism and apathy.

In the last week alone these guys just stood there watching Hughes get tossed around by Dubois, and rookie Lekkerimaki get run over by Stanley.

I'm really not sure they have that kind of jam, or at least I don't think I'd give them the benefit of the doubt anymore. Hope they prove me wrong.

They have broken Dan and Sat:
7-7-7 in last 21 games. In that time frame, no team shots the puck less.

Pettersson 15 points in 10 games without Miller. 4 points in 15 games now.

New coach bump gets them into the playoffs probably.
