What irks me about us signing Heinen isn't his contract. It's cheap. But it's the exact opposite of what management claimed they wanted to do: i.e. let the kids fight for roster spots. Sasson and Ratu are sitting because Heinen's got a spot locked.

And worse, we could use that 2M for an actual defensemen instead of Forbort and Desharnais.
