Hronek
  • Think’s he’s going to play tonight
  • Has worked really hard, skated a lot, & has tested himself a lot recently
  • Is ready to go and wants to play; isn’t going to keep him out of the lineup
  • The way him and Hughes play together is elite
  • Jack-of-all trades
  • Believes he will play with Hughes but will manage his minutes
Joshua
  • Will skate again today; his 2nd or 3rd skate
  • Isn’t at to the level where Tocchet can put an exact date on his return
  • Would still say week-to-week
Winnipeg Jets
  • Josh Morrisey is one of the elite defencemen that joins the rush; hard to defend; calls him an underrated defender
  • Arniel has done an unbelievable job
  • Their play without the puck has impressed him the most
Lineup Changes
  • Lankinen starting
  • Brisebois scratched for Hronek
4 Nations Tournament
  • Thinks it’s going to be a great tournament because the best players in the world are excited
  • Is excited to be around the coaches
  • Anytime you represent your country, there’s pressure
Myers
  • Coachable and leader in the room; hasn’t had a bad effort practice
  • Gives full effort all the time; that’s why they wanted him back

Vector - He's really carrying our asses these days. We would be as active as HF Atlanta Thrashers if he weren't here.

Kryten - He's contributing a lot more. You can see the rapid growth in his development.

Well, now we all know for certain that practice is the most important part of the game.

This is definitely the season of the chaos giraffe.

They will almost have 3 defencemen each shift.

Tocchet will play 0-0-5 just to keep Juulsen in the team.

Straight up, don’t care if we win or lose, I just wanna see this team carry some momentum from the TO game and give a 60 minute effort now that we got pretty much everyone back and playing for the first time this year.

What I don’t wanna see is if this team comes out flatter than my GF and we’re down like 3-0 after the 1st.
Oh and lock it down in the 3rd…no more goals against in the last 5 mins. of the game please

It makse sense to shelter Demko and throw Lankinen to the wolves, so to speak. Lankinen is looking for a payday so we shouldn't be handing him easy starts if possible.

Was Hronek's original timeline 8 weeks minimum, or 6-8 weeks? Does anyone know?

This seems well ahead of schedule to me.

What could possibly go wrong with a guy with a history of shoulder problems coming back early from another shoulder injury? I'm not sure what Tocchet means by he's "tested himself a lot recently", what does that even mean? Hopefully it means we have nothing to worry about...but I remain skeptical.
