Tom leading by example.

My take is there is so much team cohesiveness that they all stepped up hard when Ovi was out and now there is a bit of a letdown. 82 games at a high level is mentally exhausted as much as it is physically.

Key is just don't panic about the lulls in a season and for the staff not to do anything rash. The line experiments are a good way to try and jump start things.

This game in the playoffs is one thing but in the regular season I want to tear my eyes out.

This isn't surprising for the NHL in general this is the time when everyone gets their systems down and its up to the legit good teams to keep grinding and adapt.

Yeah, what the hell is wrong with them the last few games. They look slow, which means they need to move their feet more.

You mean the last 20 or so. They've been playing like this for quite a while; makes you wonder if this is what the team is really like. And the fact that no amount of line or personnel changes are fixing it is pretty disturbing. The team of the last month or so is what i expected coming into the season.

22-8 in shots after two.

Lot of things aren’t going well. Ovi looks like the remote is disconnected. He is just gliding around the ice, and no one can put two passes together. You can say I’m being negative but the metrics don’t lie.

Brutal effort lately.

Everyone loafing watching subpar teams dominate them only to try and steal a point in the 3rd period.

Hopefully just a case of the Januarys.

Agree - always hesitant to criticise Ovie around here but he isn't looking good. When he came back from injury it seemed like he was going to pick up where he left off but he - and the entire team - have just lost their mojo.

I think our D has been really good (along with Thompson). It's the forwards who seem to have fallen off a cliff.

For sure. Thompson and Chuckie are the only reason they have been in games recently

Except it’s been more than the Januarys and it’s getting progressively worse

If OV isn’t scoring he is a huge liability out there. A turnover machine, beyond horrible.

They look to me like a team that hasn’t practiced in weeks.

For the most part team defense has been good. There have been some odd mans but mostly keep high dangers chances down. The offense is what is really slumping. I wonder what our GF is over last 20 games. We just aren’t as natural as we were earlier in the season (which was inflatedly good).
