I think there are definitely aspects of his system that don't make a lot sense.
He's got guys like Peterrsson thinking they should be hitting instead of actually playing his game. Sure, you need to be 'tough' and gritty, but the Sedins had all the success in the world without ever hitting anyone. They pinned, they went to the hardest parts of the ice, but weren't running around looking for hits, like you see #40 trying to do too much of these days. It's not his game, never will be, and has taken away the actual skill that he brought to the team.
We hear it over and over again from Tocchet - the only way to win is to go through guys. That's definitely an aspect, and is important for some portion of players on the team, but when you're wanting everyone to bang the shit out of the other team 24/7 and that's the only key to success, that's not the answer.
