The current hfboards skin looks like it was designed by Tyler Myers

?

lol it’s funny because Myers is probably the only guy on our team who can code

pettersson can kick your ass at fortnite

if they go to ot. need to change it. hughes cant be there all the time.. maybe go with three forwards responsible ones. miller is not one of them. if petey was playing. i'd put petey debrusk and brannstrom. sherwood garland/myers.

There's not another guy in the league who has more impact on his team than Quinn Hughes.

I know he probably won't win the Hart, because the last d-man to win the award was Chris Pronger in the 1999-2000 season, and it was heavily criticized at the time.

But with Hughes in the lineup, they're at least in playoff contention. Without him, forget about it.

If there was ever a serious case for someone besides the leading scorer (which I still think is silly), Hughes would be it.

I hope Miller claps these guys.

I still hold a grudge against the low ballers involved in the Miller shenanigans when we tried to trade him and he had two playoff runs left at 5.25 mil and somehow GM's didn't value him at all - it still blows my mind. He finished with 100 points that season and no one offered anything worth a damn.
It was very strange. Especially as he profiled as a post season beast. Makes me think that maybe other GMs knew more about our locker room than Canuck fans.

I think these awards are all a little silly. There are a lot of great hockey players and every situation is different. Can you really separate who is better, as you said yourself, and does it matter? Who really cares about a bunch of no account reporters and the like voting for one player or another? Does getting an award mean actually make you a better player? I guess most guys get a paycheck. It's absolutely meaningless to me. I'd rather decide who I think the best players are. [end of my little yap lol]

[not quite done haha]

The reason I like hockey is it's finite. You either score more than the other team or you lose. Not entirely based on someone's opinion. I don't like gymnastics, figure skating, Survivor, American Idol, or politics. Voting is for the (lame) birds.

Building on the Last Game
  • Holding the Capitals to 14/15 shots was a positive
  • Had some plays to win but need to clean up what happened on the overtime goal
  • Will be playing two teams back-to-back (Hurricanes are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back)
Carolina Hurricanes
  • They rush the puck a lot so have to manage that
  • Need to stay above
  • When there’s to beat pressure, you have to attack
  • Need to play a hard working game and don’t get frustrated
  • When facing a team on a back-to-back, need to dictate the pace early in the game; can’t wait to see how they will react
  • Need to get on the forecheck
  • Canucks are at their best when getting on the opponent’s defence

Hopefully they can catch the Canes in a lull following a big game win and being on b2b.

I'm looking for another consistent effort like that against the Caps. A few more baby steps and the wins will come.
