Yeah, I think Tocchet's not coming back next season. That defense and our over reliance on Quinn Hughes will be our downfall. The fact that we're still in a playoff push is remarkable to me, and I just really hope we don't sell futures before the deadline. This season ain't it.
Sherwood, Garland, EP, and Hughes all looked fine to good.

It's not a valid argument to say "who do we replace them with?" when they're all f***ing terrible. Because the product we have been putting on the ice is so close to greatness LOL. At some point you have to sit people because the team needs accountability. If key players are floating, it sucks the life out of the rest of the guys. Why should a guy like Sherwood put his body on the line if half the team isn't even trying? We've already heard that some guys are not playing the system or doing some of the gameplans that coaching staff has proposed. It's a disease that worms its way into the team and IMO that's why you see pathetic efforts like this.
One issue with the modern NHL is this obsession with LH/RH on the d-pairs even if it means playing inferior players. I remember Philly back when they made the SCF had NO RHS on D.

If he doesn't, I'm calling that Allvin's "bullet" because he's the one who saddled him with this dogshit of a defense core that is completely reliant on Hughes. Pick another coach from any other team right now and I doubt they could much better icing two bottom six defenseman, three journeymen and whatever the hell Soucy is.
