Every ref ever is making that call in that situation. That's on Hoglander to know that. He interfered, he has to own that. Has to be smarter there
If you haven't seen that play 50 times a year not get called you aren't paying attention. In an ideal world, refs manage calls based on nothing except whether it was a penalty or not. But that's simply not how it works. That call is 100% the result of the refs folding under the pressure of the Montreal fans.

For the record, I think that's a penalty and should be called every time regardless of the context. But I also watch hockey and know that's not how any of this works.

Canucks deserved that and are largely a terrible hockey team but it doesn't make it any less frustrating to watch.

EDIT: This is true whether or not the penalty is the Anderson play or the Hutson play btw. They're both penalties.

Puck is nowhere near and Hoglander pushes Anderson to the ice. How is that even a debatable call?

I still cannot believe we send that sack of shit Juulsen out there, guy has no hockey sense whatsoever. Can't defend, can't skate, can't forecheck, can't do anything except take penalties and leave his man open.

I don't give a f*** if he's from Abbotsford, this man shouldn't be on this god damn team.

over reacting. He's making league minimum, and should be our 7th man at best. And to everyone bitching that Hughes should not have played tonight, hey it probably got us a point. that we need. Hope Petey is back soon.

My bad lol fixed
For the record, I agree it's a penalty. I'm just frustrated that refs are never consistent with how they ref a game. Call it all. Call nothing. I don't care as long as you call the game consistently (and ideally within the rulebook).

Soucy - Juulsen
Forbort - Desharnais

Please tell us what adjustments you'd make if you were coach.

I'm looking forward to some real technical ideas with lots of NHL level detail.
This is the same D that Bruce and Travis had. Why does Tocchet get the pass? It's actually probably still better then what they had actually. Lol.

With all these injuries, this team should be playing 2000’s Jacques Lemaire hockey.

Boring as hell but least they have a chance.

If he's our 7th defensemen, send him to the press box and play Brannstrom.

We were trying to do that (unintentionally?) and we almost lost our minds here. Now we’re playing Travis Green mushy hockey.
