Honestly I don't know who we should get rid of amongst our under performing $5M wingers, but either way we just need to figure out he's not a top-line winger.
I agree with that. If it comes down to it I've liked what Garland brings game in and game out more, but I don't think we're seeing peak Mik right now either.

EDIT: I'd probably move Kuzmenko as I think he has the best value and just isn't a fit with the coach.

Really good period where we've lived up to our points %. I don't feed into the PDO-pilled negativity here, we've gotten really good chances where the goalie looks beatable and we still have a Vezina candidate on our side. We don't have Jack Hughes for Myers to pass to and we've got at least three lines buzzing.

We can definitely still lose but I'd take our chances against most teams with this effort.

That was the wrong call because Millers foot was above the crease not in the crease. The only reason it was in the air was because Seigenthaler pryed his leg by pegging his right skate between Miller's legs and left foot and he had to pull it out or go down to maintain his balance and positioning. The interference was 100% caused by Seigenthaler.

The mistake Beach made was by watching the above angle and making his decision but you have to watch both to realize why it was where it was and see that it wasn't even in the blue paint but above it.

Get it right you fuxxxng morons. Big surprise that Hrudey called it goalie interference lol. Thankfully Bieksa called him out for it

I wouldn’t pay Zadorov much more than what Soucy is getting right now

Soucy is better
Soucy is probably our only legitimate second-pairing caliber d-man.

Hughes is 1st pairing caliber, Hronek is 1st pairing caliber (2nd pairing caliber defensively though) and everyone else is third pairing caliber.

Nick Cousins feels like a modern-day Steve Moore in the making. Especially with a Malarchuk/Zednik-esque incident with Adam Johnson earlier in the season, history seems to be repeating itself.

Bedard needs to protect himself. His busted jaw is 100% on him.
Agreed. Skating full speed through the middle of the ice, runs into a D standing his ground. He'll learn by the time he's in blue and green.

So are Nic Cousins victims the problem or is Cousins the problem?
Eh, different scenarios

Cousins goes out of his way to head shot players. Bedard kind of skated into his hit with his head down.

Not sure how these situations could be seen as comparable.

I don't go around watching every hit Nic Cousins lays down, but I did see Bedard skate face-first into him.

I want big, knock a guy in next week, hits to stay in the game. I like seeing people get blown ass-over-tits by a hip check, I think coming of out the box and blasting a guy on the breakaway is fine. I don't like guys who skate-leading with their jaws and guys who turn their numbers out along the boards rather than making a quicker play.

I just cant stand any head contact during play. Destroy shoulders, chests and hips cleanly all day but the head shouldnt have any contact

Then why aren't you mad at Bedard for skating his face into somebody? How is a defender meant to play defense while also avoiding any contact that might touch another player's head?

I'd also say that now, unlike in years past, everybody playing a contact sport knows and consents to the risk. I would be fine going back to dead puck-era rules about hitting and letting the league self-select for players willing to play that style of game for a living. We let people work in dangerous fisheries, logging camps, serve in the military, etc. Why not let them play contact sports?
