He didn’t wanna play here? He never said that. He had an issue with Virtanen (he said “a 19 year old”) and said he wasn’t happy where (draft position) he was drafted. Then we traded him for a Tyler Myers clone.
When asked how does it feel to be drafted by the Canucks, his response was "It is what it is". For a player who just reached his dream of getting drafted into the NHL, that doesn't exactly scream that he was overly thrilled by being selected by the Canucks.

Drafted by Benning and Weisbrod. A real winning combination.

Seattle is basically Vancouver with a USA hat on, so I assume his issue was with the organization (which was a clown show) opposed to the city.

just tuning in, how have we played so far?

Started terribly. Demko whiffed on an early one but then had two outstanding saves later. Canucks started to goon it up a little and have evened up the play a bit. Sasson scored off a fluky bounce from a point shot.

That's the Cs job ya noob
I’d say it’s the coaches job how they want them aligned on faceoffs for systems - but yes it’s generally the C to coordinate if he wants a set play or do something different.

I just found it funny how assertive he directed Brisebois to move further left which didn’t make any difference at all - that’s all

yes it was a poor choice of words. He was apparently pissed off at dropping that far in the draft and was surprised to end up in Vancouver but they messed that whole thing up from the moment they drafted him

I find all the Brannstrom lament kind of funny. Like we'd be up by 5 or something if he was playing. Basically a Hughes replacement.
