Soucy was decent and liked in Seattle. He played well for us. I was sad to see him go.
He had a solid 25 game stretch where he played like a legitimate #3 dman last season. Then his play fell off from March until the end of the season but had a decent playoffs (had a couple of terrible defensive games during the Oilers series).

This year he has looked trash in pretty much 95% of games and has looked soft.

I thought Soucy had a terrible October and has been mostly pretty good since. I'm a bit surprised at the criticism now.

A player who doesn't want to play here? We may already have that with Petey.

He didn’t wanna play here? He never said that. He had an issue with Virtanen (he said “a 19 year old”) and said he wasn’t happy where (draft position) he was drafted. Then we traded him for a Tyler Myers clone.

Cumulative effect of Hronek and Hughes injuries making everyone play 2-3 rungs above their abilities, combined with Soucy playing inconsistent game to game, makes it look much worse than it is

Bummer. I haven't followed him since he left. If the kraken are going to be mediocre, they could stand to be tougher - and Soucy was a big body who could play middle pair well.
