I've calmed down enough now.

I let my 5 year old son stay up with me and watch the 2nd period. He had me set up his mini-net behind the couch and brought a couple of sticks. He was shooting the ball around and on commercial breaks I would play goalie. At one point I asked if he wanted to go to bed or keep watching with me and he stood right beside me and said he wanted to keep watching. Seconds later, Garland scored on the breakaway. My son explodes! We double high-five and I pick him up. I point at Garland with his teammates and tell him "Look! He's a little guy, just like you!".

It would smart to mange his minutes. After the Hughes injury that this group told me wouldn't happen.

Turns out I was wrong in that it's 3 minutes and not 1.5. They are definitely managing his minutes and not taxing him right now. Was at 19 minutes last season (after being over 20 the previous 4 seasons) and is down to about 16 minutes a night right now.

I did go look and since he has returned from his "break" he has avg 17.5 minutes. I'm a well versed in treatment table. I also deal with neck and back issues from sports injuries myself. I do know that sometimes... feel good and sometimes at random I'm like F*** what the hell and don't know how or why. If this is a Jack Eichel situation where taking time to fix it, is good. I don't know what's actually wrong but healthy is better than chancing it every night.

Just depends on if it's the type of thing that actually can get better with rest or if it's an off-season surgery/long layoff-type thing. We're also dealing with insanely driven psychopaths with abnormally high pain tolerances coached and managed by people that understand that mindset.

It's not like he's being completely coddled since returning. He's had two games at 21 minutes and another at 19. Usually followed by a couple of lower minute games.

What I gathered from the game:

1. Juulsen caused Demko to have back spasms.
2. Tocchet said it’s not serious, so Demko likely out a month minimum.
3. Vinny was put out in OT because he turned into Hughes as everyone expected.
4. Grumpy Tits had the lowest 5 on 5 icetime because EP is secretly calling the shots.
5. Someone should have been banned, was in the processed of being banned, is banned or their name is banned from existence.

Hell of a start to the new year.

Close, but really:

1. Juulsen is Pettersson's hired gun and Demko is on his hitlist.
2. A month might be optimistic as Demko was seen moving his legs and thus his knee might also have exploded.
3. This is spot on.
4. Grumpy Tits also didn't show enough emotion after scoring in the SO so we can be sure he hates the entire team.
5. That person never existed. IDK what you're talking about.

I listen to the post game on podcast later so I can skip past the calls lol

Actual Kraken fan popping in to see if there was an update on Demko, and was surprised to see one of our (purported?) supporters caused problems in your GDT.

For what it's worth, while we don't have the most active subforum on this board, we have 6-10 active posters most of whom are generally classy folks. While we may never hit 38 pages, we (often I) post a GDT of our own for every single game. In the years I've been active there, I've never seen the individual in your GDT post in any of the threads on our board a single damn time.

So I guess a long route to say that I think you may have unfortunately been overtly trolled by a person pretending to be a Kraken fan, I apologize for the disruption the person caused your GDT purportedly in our name, and the stress and work it created for your mods (specifically Vector). I know we don't like it when folks like that bomb into our corner of the board or GDT's jabbering about other teams while we're talking amongst ourselves about the Kraken, so yeah...I'm sincerely sorry that it happened here.

Good luck the rest of the season.

Two OT games with each team winning in the other's barn.....They were close, exciting games, but this supposed Kraken-Canucks 'rivalry' has totally fizzled in my view.

Maybe someday if the two teams ever met in a Cup playoff, the Kraken might become the 'Minnesota Wild' of the early 2000's.

But as of now, the major Canuck rivals are the Oilers and Flames. Always has been; and probably always will be.

Listening to shorty pronouncing Max's name different than batchelor or tocchet in the central's post game... how do you pronounce it now?

Like, is it croissant or croissant
