I think the difference between the front office before and now, is that when the team scratched Kuz they obviously had a plan with it. They didn't just scratch to punish, they likely have had coaches working with him each game to watch the plays develop

Before when someone was scratched it felt hopeless and they came back having learned nothing from it

Likely a reason Milstein and Kuzmenko made it clear they weren't pissed about the coaching. Vs. with Benning/Green, morale would just tank

That's very much the impression I got. It was never a punishment but Kuz struggling with a style of play he just isn't used to and needing more time to adjust. It's hard to give him that one on one time while how many games we've played. So sitting him a few while we're hot does make sense, especially putting him right back on the top line.
