Who really gives a f*** if we have a forward or two who don't play a two way game? We have the 2nd highest goalscorer in NHL history who has made a HOF career out of it.

Because it isn’t just about the goals he scores. If he continues to keep his two-way game in check then fine. Miro and Lappy likely to eat popcorn and get sent down first. But he’ll need to earn his spot (both ways) all season. That is who he is now.

Who he is now is still better than Lapierre and Miro. (and he actually has 7 goals and 11 points in 21 games). 3 PP goals and is still a +5 vs Lapierre's -4 and Miro's +2 - which seems to indicate he is playing a better 2 way game than they are:
