If they keep playing like this it could be much sooner than that.

He’s gonna finish his contract out here. Then get the biggest bag in the league and play with his family. Way way way easier for his parents as well to not have 1 kid as far away from their other 2 kids as possible.

Allvin made some major mistakes this offseaaon. Resigning Myers over Zadorov was a major one.
He overpaid Myers and gave him too much term too.

THREE years at THREE million? He was worth ONE year at TWO million at most.

Oh and guess what? He has a no movement clause too.

How the hell did we manage to overpay, overterm and give a NMC to a player with zero leverage? He only wanted to play in Vancouver and absolutely nobody was offering him what he was asking.

Miller was terrible on that play, but he’s been good tonight. He made 2 key plays that led to goals, a keep in at the line and a net front battle that screened the goalie.

Pete’s done nothing tonight, the only time I notice him is when he’s falling down. That isn’t what you want when your GM publicly challenges you to be better.

in these times of turmoil, I always look forward to Ron McLean’s take on things

:boredom:

McLean: "A game is taking place, on ice, with a small flat round cylindrical rubber object being batted around using curved wooden sticks. Two teams of 5 players are playing, plus another taller fatter player in front of a net. I don't think you are allowed to bat the puck with your dick but don't quote me on that. No I don't miss Don Cherry."

I got no beef with Demko but we really don't have many high value trade pieces.

Offering up Demko to upgrade our D should be on table.

They both haven't been good enough tonight.

They've combined for a second assist so far - you can give Miller some credit for the net front battle, but that's just not enough from two guys that have it in them to be 100 point players.

Hughes has put the team on his back but the rest of the team has basically been a bunch of passengers, or in some of his partners cases, absolute boat anchors.
