The only thing I think you can blame coaching for is the request for Desharnais/Forbort.

Tocchet has done a very good job getting the team to play within its limits and no team is going to actively look good with their top 2 centers in a funk.

Crazy to me ppl dont want to swap one twelve million C for two twenty three year old studs, Byram's basically becomes a second pairing Hughes Lite & cozens is a solid young 2C, learning & playing behind a stud 100pt JTM..

Deeper, better, more skilled team with a better cap structure.

Any coach that refuses to put his “top” players on the pp1 unit and plays Myers late is clearly clueless

We can't do any clean breakouts outside of Hughes. Almost every time VD or Myers will just ring it around the boards or bank it. The opposition knows this, so it's a turnover almost every time.

Hard to believe Myers has 75 million dollars in the bank.

I think this season is figuring out who they keep to build around. Unfortunately, some of those main pieces you were counting on have turned into pumkins.

Pathetic display of NHL talent. The roster has legitimately good players but look like they're learning how to pass the puck for the first time. I stay up till 1am to watch and literally everytime this season has been regretful. Tonight's game I ended up tuning out and just listened to an audiobook instead.

Something's gotta give. The team has a Hart candidate defensemen on a cheap contract and they are f***ing up so hard

Yeah hate to say it, but the shots in the 2nd are indicative of a team afraid to play if they have the lead. Tocchet needs to say,"we are up one, bury them", not "the guys on the ice that scored on will be benched for the rest of the game" ... (or season).

I don't understand why people seem bummed out by the game tonight. Vegas' record isn't a fluke. Canucks now a solid fourth in the Pacific--which may be where they belong.

Last year's team was a 'one-year anomaly'. In fact from the all-star break last season through the first 30 games this season, the Canucks are just over a .500 team.

It's hard to go aggressive and bury a team when at least one of Desharnais/Forbort/Juulsen are on the ice for 50% of the game.
