Perspective:

When I think of the Oilers, my thought is they're having a pretty good season, so far (darnit).

As of today, the Canucks have the same number of points (38) with the same number of games as the Oilers.

I was anticipating a win against Utah and a loss against Vegas (3rd game in 4 nights on a b2b).

Could the hockey gawds give us the opposite of logic tonight?

It's been a weird stretch of games. Sandwiched that God awful loss to Boston with outstanding efforts against Florida and Colorado. Last night's first period notwithstanding, we were the better team for large chunks of the game.

But, second half of a back to back, and in a building that's been a nightmare factory for us? The Canucks being so unpredictable, I could see us pulling it off. But I'll be far less surprised if they get the boots put to them tonight.

Back-to-back on the road against a Vegas team that's been rested for 3 days, gee I wonder how tonight's game is going to go! (Can't help but think of today's game as a scheduled loss)

Pettersson and Miller just need to go out and black out at the holiday party together and have a night

Pretty much like eighty-five percent of issues between grown men can be solved in a couple hours ..

Put the gloves and headgear on and have at it, after a single three min round both guys will be exhausted.

Grab a big steak and beers afterwards and problems solved.

If this is actually true - It’s quite immature of both Pettersson and Miller - regardless of what the issues are. You guys are professional hockey players ffs.

In the end, if the team has exhausted all options to try and resolve the conflict - then unfortunately a decision needs to be made.

One or both will need to be traded. It won’t matter what coach you bring in, so you’re gonna have to deal with the two players instead.

Miller needed to be reined in by Tocchet not Pettersson.

This is why Joe Thornton kept getting contracts with high-strung contenders when he was physically done. He'd have slapped some sense into both of him by now and they'd all be partying together. It seems like there's no important player on the team with a personality that's big in a positive way.
The timing of this is a bit weird because he’s been better recently but Pettersson should have been pulled from PP1 ages ago as he’s been awful on the PP for most of this year.
Yeah, I don't know why anyone would pretend to be oblivious. He's been terrible on the power play, static and unwilling to shoot. When he has the puck the PK can basically stay in position and take away his lanes.

I don’t disagree, but the game before the pulled miller from PP1, so there is something weird going on.

Yah, how do you think that would go for EP40? lol. He would be at Vancouver general hospital.

Not weird , EP40 and JTM9 won’t play together. They hate each other. One or both will be gone shortly for 60 cents on the dollar coming back.
