I'm going to be at the game tonight. Hopefully it's the good version of the team that shows up!
Utah, Soakers, go go go!

Multiple wives are off the table. Multiple girlfriends however is fine....after all you need someone to shake the bed when soaking.are we doing multiple wives jokes or is that not cool?
You had me after the fifth wordare we doing multiple wives jokes or is that not cool?
Ah yes, I forgot about Liam O'Brien. If he plays tonight, what's the over/under before he does something stupid and dangerous?

Last time I showed interest in a hockey game at Salt Lake City....
I f***ing loved that team.

I haven't followed their schedule this year, but from the Delta Center website the games usually start at 7 MST. Not sure why the late start tonight.Do they always start their games at 8 p.m. local? I was hoping for a little Mountain Time Zone reprieve...

Have you been there for a while? Last offseason must have felt like winning the jackpot!
It's pretty simple to understand really, if you look at measurement standards from a perspective of familiarity and point of reference. You get used to something and that becomes a point of reference for similar comparison, then it doesn't matter if one standard is better than the other it's hard to change. We have a mix now because baby boomers grew up under imperial so in the home they still use feet and lbs to measure kids growing up while externally you have metric in places like grocery stores and on road signs. While other generations since the boomers have been having kids it's hard to break the cycle of imperial measurement in the home. You'd need to have parents that start kids on cm/kg and then they'd grow up accustomed to that, but it doesn't really happen.Glad someone understands. I've never heard anyone say that they are cm and kg's in Canada. My wife is a nurse and she said no one has ever given her their height and weight in cm and kg's in Canada.

Heh, fair enough. I mostly only ever go to one Sens game a year -- when the Canucks are in town -- but I do love having the local team here just for that.I'm from North Vancouver, but I've lived here almost 20 years. I was excited for the team to move at first. However, the corresponding sales tax increase to pay for the arena upgrades that is coming with the move significantly lowered that excitement.
That is kind of how it is in the US isn't it? A sales tax to help pay for stadiums and arenas. Typically either a hotel/entertainment tax targeted at mostly visitors or for those who spend in that entertainment area.I haven't followed their schedule this year, but from the Delta Center website the games usually start at 7 MST. Not sure why the late start tonight.

Tocchet loves him some PDG.
I loved it on my one visit. It honestly felt a lot like Vancouver, with mountainous surroundings and similar urban design, and the people were very nice.Salt Lake City is actually a pretty cool city. Went there years ago for an interview and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful scenery and the city centre has a pretty good vibe.
