168cm and 85kg, that's why.

Replaced one of my meals with just a salad, like the picture, and doing some pushup/crunches/lunges/squats everyday at home.

I hate this so very much.

But it must be done.

What kind of non sense is that. You're 5'5" 185 lbs ish

That's exactly what's wrong with Canada nowadays. Taking away things that make Canadian's Canadian.

Haha I can see visually that my stomach fat is slowly turning into the Blob, so yeah...

I do know that I went hog wild on the fast food and soda for quite some time, so I'm cutting both out going basically cold turkey.

I absolutely hate this, but again, I will do what I must.
:thumbu:

Btw I have no idea what you mean by the 2nd part lol.

I definitely felt like we'd see Karlsson or PDG at some point soon, but not both at once. I wonder if someone is nursing something.

Tocchet really liked both of these guys, and I'd wondered if PDG would be up sooner rather than later given his reputation as a character guy and respected veteran in the locker room.

They are all nursing something....the flu is running through the locker room. Lankinen not being dressed because he was sick. Hughes has clearly been sick. Not surprising they are bringing in a couple of bodies.

Looks like you might need more protein. Start with lean protein and then round things out with other things. Protein will keep you full. Aim for 125-150 g protein...note this isn't due to the 1g/1lb body weight thing that floats around gym circles. It's that if you have 40-50 g of lean protein each of your 3 meals you will not be hungry. Don't cut out carbs but limit them after all in the end calories in vs calories out is what will determine the bulk of weight loss (tailoring nutrients meal timings etc have a very small effect...those are things you might do to put you over the top athletically).

So if you are logging, start with that protein. 130 g of protein from chicken breast will be about 700 calories (this is about 420 g of chicken or about 1 pound of meat). You have plenty of room to add different flavorings, sauces, veg and fruit for the day and still be where you want to be and keep you from getting bored of the food. You will also, if you want, have room at the end of the day for a small treat.

Thanks for the clarification. That salad is replacing one of my two meals, the other one I will for sure get lots more flavor and meat.

OK, you did not hear this from me, as I do not want the kind of rep that posters like @Vector have*, but on the down low** here is what you do to meet your Dr. Pepper fix:

get the unflavored carbonated cola (no calories, just bubbly goodness) and mix two parts carbonated with one part juice. Ruby Red grapefruit juice being the flavour of choice. If you get the mango juice from costco you can go three parts carbonated to one part mango. All the goodness of coke at a fraction of the calories.

* you know, helpful, accurate, informative and worst of all non insulting***

** it means on the qt ****

*** note I avoided following what the the hyphen-nazis would have you do

**** it means sub rosa. Look it up you maroons

Haha I've meant to cut back on my soda addiction for a while now. What I'm doing now is basically the lowest effort I can think of. I'll pick up some carbo water next time I get around to Costco.

Moderation and physical exercise not just going through the motions. Don't need to kill yourself but walk a block, run a block.

Yep, hence the salad replacement.

So far so good, let's see what happens after 2-3 months.
I have found that eating veggies like Zucchini, broccoli, carrots (cooked) is more filling than a salad. Plus be careful with your dressing.

But, for sure cut down as much as you can on the calories from liquids. Milk/or milk replacements are fine. Juice/sodas, no.

Demko lasted the game, that was a win all by itself.

Win one, lose one. Look great, look like dogs.
Miller comes back and EP stops scoring.

What a great net drive Miller put on MacKinnon, a real power forward move. The fastest I have seen him skate this year.
