Just little plays b y Myers like this piss me off. He chases to the wrong side, which leaves Hughes to cover the net front. He's the one who should have that assignment if it's possible. There was no need to chase there and he didn't alter the play. Then, Hughes gets it behind the net and Myers has the net front....but there is nobody to cover. Instead of moving to give Hughes an outlet like Hronek would, he stands in front of the net where it's impossible for Hughes to pass to him. Then Huggy takes a bump.

Myer's entire existence on the Hughes pair should be to make our best player's life easier. He just doesn't know what he's doing most of the time.

Just now he did it again, skated towards Hughes as Hughes went behind the net. He went to his strong side which is good but kept his back to Hughes the whole time so Hughes had to pass to our center.

Just crazy shit.

His success at shot blocking isn't the greatest, if I was Demko or Lankinen I'd prefer he just get out of the way. Half the time he just adds an extra layer of screening, this has resulted in many goals against all season.

Looks like Sasson might win the Abby hunger games for the 4th line spot. He's matched the pace of a frantic game and the entire team looks more poised than in weeks.

This is perhaps the best home 1st periods they've played this season, which is kind of sad because 1st periods like this were commonplace last season

I’ve avoided saying this over the past few years but one of Hoglander’s biggest problems is that he doesn’t like getting hit and he regularly throws snow or pulls up in puck races rather than taking a hit to make a play.
Can't imagine there are many things that would be more irksome to Tocchet, as well.

Sasson might be one of those players who's better in a more structured environment, even if it's faster. I'd argue almost all our AHL guys have at least kept up. Can't overstate the importance of Raty being able to win faceoffs.

Imagine if Raty has Sasson's feet.
