Yeah ... that was an odd semi attempt to stand up.

Canucks are just giving more evidence of what they have to work on

So he got over early and was square. That was good. But you're nowadays taught to push with your "up" leg to c-cut yourself back into position. If you can't shift enough weight onto that leg, even just a little, the blade won't bite and you won't rotate back.

Still weird that he kept rotating forward, that usually means you don't have the core strength to stop your initial turn to get to square. That's unusual for a guy who has good footwork like demko. Also he was already in position so I thought it wouldn't be an issue.

If we see a replay, maybe his skate is caught on the post,that overloads your balance onto that leg.
