They really need to look at that rule. Injury is such a broad term that ranges from a cut to being stretchered off. Major penalty sure. But Quinn getting a match penalty on a play that happens 20 times a game and Norris coming back 2 minutes later is a joke.

It's genuinely amazing how the refs will bend over backwards to cater to most top players in the league...except for Hughes. He's a human punching bag in their eyes. And now this shit...

He takes 3 slashes to the hands everytime he carries the puck up the ice and the refs won't call it. He is easily one of the most disrespected stars in the league.

10+ years ago there was a push for players to protect themselves against the boards and remain upright (by Don Cherry of all people).

Now if you remain upright you get rubbed out and beat up on with no call, but if you bend over like an idiot with your head down looking for the puck you draw a major. If that’s a major we should get one every game if Garland just let himself fall instead of being strong on his skates.

Just crazy, incentivizing the wrong behavior. I’m fine with 2 minutes for protecting the players, but 5 and a game was absolutely absurd.

Was actually looking that up and it’s been described as a bit of a Stranger Things vibe although not as bloody/violent. A show with kids but not for kids.

I actually was hoping it was more kids oriented so I could watch it with my little ones. My 8 year old had expressed interest in watching the original movie.
