Outside of a wicked shot I fail to see anything noteworthy from Bedard.

He was a passable top 4 dman for about ~1.5 years cumulative (all the bits and pieces of this added together) of his previous 5 year contract.

You'd think we'd know by now that most of the time he sucks but somehow everyone still gets fooled by his little spurts of passable play and unfortunately most of it happened during his contract year. The over under on what percent of this contract he's going to actually be worth 3M is 3/4 of one season out of three.

He doesn’t have the skating to play pond hockey in the NHL like he did in junior. He’ll get better but people were hyping him like the next McDaddy and that’s not happening.

So frustrating to wait all that time for his deal to expire and then re-sign him to 3 years after a half decent season. I know he’s liked in the room but it just makes it that much harder to bring in an upgrade
