Hockey coaches so rarely call the momentum time out and it's one way they're behind the times. They all think they need to save it for some big brain coaching set play with 30 seconds left in the third when calling momentum time outs is so consistently much better

This game? We haven't had a single good shift the entire game. Very bad. This is our worst game this season so far.

But the opponent is bad so there's every opportunity to get back into this one here.

Yeah, sometimes a game gets ugly due to some bad luck, bad PK, a bad period.

This has just been totally flat and lifeless from start to finish. I can remember very few games like this in the last two years.
