@mossey3535 Thoughts on Lankinen on that one?

IMO he played it kind of weird, he wasn't ready for post integration which is unusual for goalies in this organization. Then he was locked in a down position and pointed in the wrong direction and couldn't recover. I'll look at it again but that was my first impression.

Maybe that's true, but on the goal, Hughes knocked the puck the other direction in front of Lank, right to the Flames player

Petey looked good, team had the better run of play but Calgary has had some rush chances. Should be able to come back, not particularly worried.

Only issue again is the stark difference in puck moving when Hughes is on/off the ice. He’s the best in the league at it, but the other two pairings are absolutely miserable at it outside of Brannstrom. It’s not surprising Miller’s production has gone down now that he’s not starting every shift with Hughes.

Real question is how long they can hang out without an upgrade in that spot, especially with Boeser out.

Pretty unfortunate to be down after that period. The goal Calgary scored was a weird one. Quinn just trying to dump the rebound into the corner and it winds up perfectly on Kirkland’s stick.

If EP40 keeps playing like this he’ll score this game.
