Dhaliwal now saying Boeser is out long-term.

We got f***ing Duncan Keith'd again.

If it was on Donnie & Dhali, what he said was the following:

  • We don’t know how long Boeser is going to be out
  • Most people think Boeser can be out a while
  • Tough to give a timeline on a concussion
  • Something we’re going to have to monitor here for a while

While it does suck, to say he got Keith'd is a bit extreme. That Keith hit changed Danny as a player, went from filling the net up, to struggling to score goals - overnight.

Well - we don't know what the long term implications of any sort of concussion will be.

But as for the hit itself, I find the two events extremely comparable.

Kind of? Jeannot was wreckless and opportunistic, Keith was calculated and vengeful. I hate both incidents but see them as being quite different and feel much more strongly to this day about one than the other.
With that said, I couldn't agree more about concussions in general. Tocchet's line of hoping for 3-4% improvement each day for Boeser has me wincing.

That's about 25 days I guess. Pretty damn severe concussion. That sucks for Boeser.

Canucks Army and Sportsnet have highlight clips up on their sites with a loop of Lekkerimaki's shot selection in Sweden and Abbotsford.

My reaction.......you have to be kidding! He'll shoot from anywhere. One timers, wristers from the sideboards and slappers from the slot. And he shoots to hurt. It's such a heavy shot it fells d-men who block his shots at their own peril.

He was on a record pace for shots on goal in the AHL. No wonder Tocchet's advice tonight was 'just shoot the puck'. So many goals are generated from simple shots on goal, generating tips and rebounds. And Lekkerimaki is going to give goalies fits, even if he doesn't light the lamp tonight.

Been a long, long time since a Canuck rookie has made such an anticipated lineup appearance. You might have to go all the way back Bure.
I’m definitely excited to see what he can do but would say the debuts of EP, Boeser, Hughes and the twins were a bigger deal.

I'm reading 'week to week' on social media.
