Great to see Pettersson with a solid string of games now, and Lankinen with an excellent recovery after the Oilers debacle.

Lekkermaki did well despite not hitting the scoresheet. Good on the forecheck and you can see the offensive awareness.

And congrats to Brannstrom for his first as a Canuck. Guy has been such a fantastic addition to this team. We got him for the corpse of Tucker Poolman.

Biggest thing is Lekkerimaki didn’t look out of place. Good string of games to get him in (Islanders and Blackhawks are next) while Joshua gets eased back into the line-up.

Not going to lie, I'm tempted to start suggesting that if Lankinen can keep this up that we use the cap savings for a top 4 dman and also trade Demko if he returns to form and use the return (Pick) to trade for another top 4. Gets us out of the Demko contract.

Noah Juulsen should never play another game for this team. I would rather call up Jett Woo than dress Juulsen again. He makes the entire team worse.

Swedes with rapidly receding hairlines, that seems to be a key factor. Hoglander needs to start losing his hair, then he'll improve.

Really clean game by Lekkerimaki. Besides some minor adjustments it's clear he reads the game at an NHL level and pace, which is great considering our dirth of effective recent first rounders beyond EP, Quinn and Brock. Only one game but if he maintains consistency he'll definitely stick around.

Nice to have a Norris level defenceman and a Brannchise defenceman on the same team tonight.

If anyone had a bad game it's probably Hoglander whose presence is fading in Tocchet's eyes for both 5v5 and PP (behind Sherwood and Bains).

Lekkerimaki also looked like he belonged in this league which tbh I wasn’t expecting. Will have to evaluate him over a bigger sample size but this was a promising start.
