So back in the Green era we couldn't play defence but we could score. Now we're a lot more dependably structured and to me that's what leads to consistency, especially in the playoffs.
However now we're at the point where the Bowness, De Boer, Trotz, Cassidy type coaches have to figure out how to generate offence within that structure. Tocchet is a pretty young coach in that way, and he has to figure it out if we're going to progress in the post season. But you see here how we're usually going to give ourselves a chance to win in the regular season. For me, for now, it's pretty great. Of course it could and must be better going forward but compared to those 8 years I do appreciate this.
