We only have 1 win at home this year.

We have gotten points in 7/8 games this year.

Both these statements are true.
Honestly, since I'm old school, and remember ties, I kind of view the Canucks through 8 games as 3-1-4. Since I don't value 3 on 3 OT. Half of their games have gone into extra time.

Should even out over the year, but with the current setup, they are getting points.

Vancouver - Mt. Pleasant
I’ve seen this pattern a thousand times before - 4 game win streak, then squeak out a loser point the next game. The trend here is next game loss, and with Silica, it could be a bit of a laugher.

Show us something Pettersson.

I was wondering why it "felt" like games against NJ were an automatic loss so I did a bit of digging:

Over the last 10 years against NJ we've won a whopping 5 times to their 15 times in our head to head matches.

They've also outscored us 64-47 over those games.

Well I'm looking forward to seeing Silovs, I think a lot of work with the coach will do him some good. So hopefully we see the fruits of those labors.

Ideally he can play semi regularly so we don't wear out Lankinen who I think has a 40 game ceiling in GP.

I'm also a little concerned about Silovs, and as another poster said, thought he might get a start on the California trip. But, for this player's sake, and the management, they have to see if he can handle a high pressure game, like tonight will be.

And the sooner, the better.

Silovs is gonna get torched
Unfortunately the Canucks are giving up a bushel-full of quality chances night after night. So far, Lankinin has been stellar and masked a lot of the defensive breakdowns.

And against the Devils, you know there are going to be defensive breakdowns. Kinda feel sorry for Silovs. Hasn't played in a couple of weeks, and then gets thrown into the breach against one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the East.

It puts so much pressure on the goaltender when he has to make five or six 10-bell saves just to keep the score close. Hoping for the best for Silovs....as he's a likeable kid. Maybe the Canucks will rally around him and resolve to keep the puck out of their own net for 60 minutes.
