I was honestly happy that Myers was potentially off of the books after last season. Then when Myers was signed before Zadorov and it sealed the fate of the big Z. I was like "Oh f*** this!!".

I feel with Myers one good season doesn't make up for 4 other crap ones.
Apparently Myers is loved by management (and coaching staff? not 100% sure on that one) but for sure he was signed because they like him and not because he's actually good.

Hog starting the game on the 4th line

He's not playing particularly well. He came in to camp in the best of shape of his life which is great but no amount of training or gym time will improve his hockey sense. He is still lost in the defensive zone - and his shooting percentage is bound to regress this year.

You are 100% right. He is loved by teammates and coaches because he is a student of the game, always wanting to learn.

jason bukala did a pretty interesting radio hit today where he talked about how soucy's (paraphrasing) executing at like 0% rn and it's so apparent man

He looks like he’s aged 8 years over the summer. Skating was always really smooth for such a big guy, looks really clunky right now.
