Has to be. He was really good pre-injury last season. Somehow looks worse than he did towards the tail end. I thought we’d see that early season form again, but yeah, must be still nursing something

Brannstrom was such an excellent pickup. What a heads up play to get something for Poolman's wasted cap space.

It's like recouping a 1st rounder from the 2017-2021 era to make up for trading so many picks away. He's only 25.

You never know if the trade to the Canucks was the wake up call Brannstrom needed to up his game.
Grabner said this about his career getting traded and then waived by his new team (and flourished with the Isles)

Or, he just weirdly did not fit in Colorado and the system here works better for his game with the coaching staff unlocking his game
