- The Kings won their league-leading 12th game when trailing at the end of the first period, the most in franchise history (previously 11in 2016-17) and tied for the 15th most all time.
- Dustin Brown(4-0=4) registered his fourth career hat-trick (last: Feb. 25, 2012 vs. CHI; career-high for goals in a game). He also recorded his career-high 61st point (60, 2007-08). If is the fifth time in franchise history that two players have registered four-goal games in the same season (also Anze Kopitar; last: 1983-84, Brian MacLellan and Bernie Nicholls).
- Drew Doughty(0-1=1) reached the 50-assist plateau for the first time in his career. He is the fourth Kings defenseman to reach 50 assists, and first since Lubomir Visnovsky did it in 2005-06. It is tied for the second most assists in a single season by Kings defenseman (third time, along with Visnovsky and Steve Duchesne in 1988-89).
- Daniel Brickley(0-1=1) registered an assist in his first-career NHL game.
- The King’s 235 goals this season are the most since 2005-06 (243). Their power-play goals (49) are also the most since 2009-10 (64) and the four hat-tricks on the season are the most since 2005-06 (seven hat-tricks). It is also the fifth time in franchise history that two players have registered four-goal games in the same season. - Forward Tyler Seguin was held off the scoresheet on Friday, snapping his four-game point streak. Seguin now has points in four of his last five games (1-5=6) and in six of his last eight (2-6=8).
- Seguin enters Saturday’s contest having earned points in eight of his last 11 contests (4-8=12) and has 15 points (4-11=15) over his last 13.
- The native of Brampton, Ont. currently ranks seventh in the NHL with 40 goals this season and is tied for fifth with 14 power play goals, both career highs. He also paces the Stars with 77 points (40-37=77) in 81 games this season.
