I'm sorry but Luff and Amadio are not the kind of guys to rely on in the physicality department.
They’re not but in a scrum like that, they wouldn’t have let Kempe get punked by the sisters! Don’t be fooled Reaper, both those guys can throw’em if push comes to shove

Looks like I missed some garbage from the Ducks at the end. I was satisfied they were going to lose with ten minutes left in the game and stopped watching. Nice seeing Amadio and CG score. Campbell gave me some worries that he was going to steal a game, but thankfully things fell apart in the second.

Nice to see the kids picking up points. Doughty, Brown and Kopitar were all -3s, so that’s a kind of leadership as well.

MacD can play pretty well in a small role, Clifford is still a tough guy, Luff is no slouch, Amadio has no trouble throwing them, Wagner the same... but softies like Lewis, LaDue, worn out tough guy Phaneuf, and Toffoli have to go

Amadio? Seriously? Amadio is a lot of things, but a fighter he shall never be. He was the most timid player I think I've ever seen in the AHL when he first came up. He's toughened up a bit since then, but he's a lover, not a fighter, nor will he ever be.

Why did Clifford get 10 min? I didn't watch the game.

Martinez got hit behind the net (borderline interference since he hadn’t touched the puck yet) and Clifford took exception.

What I don’t get is that refs the last few years have barely called the 10 min instigator, and now all of a sudden its go time?

(Clifford was about 8-10 feet from the guy, so it wasn’t like he made a b-line for him or came off the bench.)

Refs probably just wanted to keep control of the game., dinner reservations at 11.

They didn't call an instigator, there was less than a minute left in a 5-2 game. Clifford, Kempe, Ritchie, and Getzlaf all got 10 minute misconducts which is basically "the game's over, go to the locker room" penalties. Its a pretty common occurrence in games that have scrums in the final minute when the result is not in question.

Yep. It was basically Getzlaf being a douche and going after Kempe and Ritchie stepping in for Holzer being a db. Clifford was going after Holzer for his slashes and crosscheck to his face.

Actually I got my games wrong, Cliffy got the 10 minute instigator in the game before (Phoenix) when Marty got hit by Crouse in the 1st period. Carry on.

He threw down more than a few times in juniors, although I do agree as his offensive game grew he didn’t fight as often if at all.. with that said, he can fight Regulate... like I said.. if push comes to shove he can swing them, unlike the manginas from last night that lee Adrian get mugged

When did the Kings become such *****es. When did young players become so soft
When Mike Richards, Matt Greene, and Willie Mitchell departed. I'm not saying they should have stuck around, but after Clifford the Kings don't have much in the toughness department.

Glad to see Mike AHLmadio finally endearing himself to some of you guys, man was he getting a raw deal from a good chunk of this board.

That being said hard to extrapolate anything from the current roster with so many people checked out and WD STILL skull****ing the minutes like it matters.

Every time I hear it I think of Mass Effect and I have no clue why.

Man this ended up being so prophetic

Korbin Dallas multipass? I dunno, 5th element is kinda like mass effect.

I watched the entire 3rd today since I missed it last hit. Wtf was Lewis doing? Even Jim Fox says someone needs to help Kempe. Beyond Clifford the Kings are very soft especially on the back end. Is anyone scared of Roy, LaDue and Walker? No way.

MacD needs to be the #7 guy next year. Kings could also use some another gritty center like Nate Thompson or Colin Fraser. Without MacD the only tough guys are Clifford and Phaneuf. Wagner will scrap, same with Luff but these are young guys. Everyone else is a softy.
