An underrated development is Joshua finding his game as the season is ending. Will be huge if he can have a great summer and start next season on fire.
full offseason to train and a clear head will be huge, based on how he's played to end this year he'll be back to his performance from last year.

Missing a summer, training camp, and a few months is just devastating for anyone. Really happy he'll get a year of a clear head and full training

Refs just missed a clear hook on Sherwood. Thoughts?

They dont miss they are paid to call how buttmans dops tell em must be tricky training at stripes school the first day of buttmans hand up their as. Has gotta be rough .
Useless mini me f..k commish and his crew f em all

I’ve mentioned it a lot about Suter, but don’t think it’s a realistic idea, but I’d be willing to give Sherwood a long term low AAV deal. For a guy that’s bounced around the league, he may be more amenable than most to take the stability.
They should be offering that to Suter, Sherwood, and Raty.

I just don't think it will be an option with Suter. I looked at all the other examples from the last several seasons and Suter is very close, statistically, do JG Pageau and he ended up with a 6y/5.0m contract that would be about 6y/5.85m now. They have scored at pretty much the same rate and similar career seasons. Pageau a better centre while Suter is a bit better scorer.

Agree, I think its unlikely unless Suter really values the stability he's had in Vancouver for the first time in his career and takes a sizeable pay cut. He seems to fit Tocchet's system like a glove, so if Tocchet comes back I can see him taking a discount.

M.Pettersson-Hronek is such a good pairing that it opens up a lot of possibilities for next season. Do you try to find another partner for Hughes via trade, UFA, or internal? Roll with Junior on his offhand? Hope Willander can win the job? Mancini? Rotate between them?

Raty is going to be immense for the Abby Canucks when he goes back down!

If he becomes a core part of the team in Vancouver then the they will have made out like bandits in the Horvat trade.
