He was okay. Clode put him back on D in the 3rd. It was just a weird game all around, I think Carl even logged 20+ minutes.
Didn't notice that until you wrote it... Carl played 22:44, most of all players on the Bruins, and only behind Suter, Brodin and Spurgeon for all players on either team. Just two seconds more than Chara, granted, but still. That PP unit did play all of the three first PP's, though, (53 sec on the first one before Smith scored, the whole second one after the 4 on 4 ended until Loui scored, and 38 seconds on the third one until Loui got called for that semi-high-stick) which helped increase his minutes. The fact that especially Carl and Loui had played so much until that point might have been one of the reasons they didn't play that PP unit on the last Suter penalty, but opted to go for Merlot, after which we clearly started playing to preserve the lead, giving up some good opportunities and ultimately let a goal in.
